I found this article while looking for some information on the economic impact of the mine on Silver city and the surrounding area. I would like to know; number of employees, total payroll, and what proportion of the local economy the mine contributes. If anyone know where to find this data, would they please enter it into the article?

If you look on the Freeport website (above), you'll likely find the info you seek. Good luck, --Pete Tillman (talk) 17:46, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not the El Chino Mine

[edit]

It is the Chino Mine. My grandfather was the General Manager there until his death in 1933 and my father has a wealth of information on him and I have a fair amount which has been passed on. The history is quite colorful, however I can assure you that my grandfather did not establish the mine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmsully (talkcontribs) 03:50, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
