Despite it being stated in a hatnote and also as an internal note which they keep deleting, an IP editor still doesn't seem to realise that this Metropolitan Police officer called Colin Sutton is not the same Metropolitan Police officer called Colin Sutton who investigated the Levi Bellfield and Delroy Grant cases and is played by Martin Clunes on TV! This one is deceased; that one is not. It couldn't be made any clearer in the article, but it's still being ignored. That being the case, I've protected the article. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:26, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@RudolfRed: The IP (I'm guessing it's the same one) has now been told this four times in edit summaries (and I've also stated it above), but doesn't appear capable of reading the English language! This is a different Colin Sutton. They happened to both have the same name and both be Metropolitan Police officers. That does not necessarily make them the same person. A hatnote and an internal note in the article both say this, but they have tried to edit the article (badly!) each time, actually deleting the internal note in the process! I have no idea why this is not sinking in, but it's getting exceptionally irritating. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:29, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Presumably you have failed to read both the above discussions and the hatnote. AC Colin Sutton and DCI Colin Sutton. ARE. TWO. DIFFERENT. PEOPLE!!! -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:21, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
