Biased?[edit]

This Post is highly inflamitory ans seriously bias. I cant believe i am the first to pick this up. Jimsim 20:59, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Population[edit]

I am not sure that the 'Population' figures for Flintshire towns are consistent. The Buckley data has the population at over 18,000 which doubtless includes the Mynydd Isa sprawl (and perhaps even Dobshill and Penymynydd) while the Connah's Quay figure of ~16,000 fails to take into account the Shotton and Deeside conurbation. Stone Roses[edit]

Has anybody got a source for the Stone Roses recording in Northop? I've had a look on Google and can't seem to find any verification of this... Richsage 17:18, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Power Stations[edit]

Is Connah's Quay really home to three power stations? I remember watching Fred Dibnah blow up the old coal power station, and also remember the new gas power station being opened in 1997, I lived in CQ until recently, my parents still live there, and I don't know of any other power stations. Does anybody else? 86.53.233.92 14:21, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing this statement, as I do not believe it to be true, there is no citation, and no-one has provided any evidence that it is true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.87.6.229 (talk) 11:46, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm certain there are two power stations, the newer one run by E-ON and a smaller powerstation which is also gas fired, I have visited both of these sites in school. No idea who runs that power station though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.170.192.129 (talk) 22:20, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is one just over the river serving the paper mill. Maybe this is the missing power station. Velela (talk) 22:38, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I lived in CQ from 1956 until 1965 and continued to visit until my mother died a few years ago. The new power station that powers the paper mill is new to me, but i understand that both these installations are something to do with Shotton. I can remember the old coal-fired power station well. I could see it from my bedroom. I also remember its demolition and the construction of the new gas-fired one on the old site. Concerning paper mills, there used to be one at Oakenholt, which was in operation in the years that I went to Holywell Grammar School. Lou Nieburg (talk) 15:14, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article, and they appear to be correct. If you still think that there is an error, you'll need to supply a clear explanation of what it is. Deor (talk) 18:36, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
