Capitalization of consulate
[edit]Hi @Rourib.2004, the word “consulate” does not have to be capitalized in all contexts, only in contexts where it is part of a proper noun (eg, Consulate General of the United States). Because the term “American consulate” is merely describing what something is, it is not capitalized. The same way we would say “the superhero Captain America is a captain”. — HTGS (talk) 00:44, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- @HTGS Fine. Then I am reducing the capitalisation of all the other consulate descriptions of other Indian cities: Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad. There shall be no inequality between cities. Will you reduce them by today? I will wait until tomorrow and then do the job myself. Rourib Dutta (talk) 13:23, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- @HTGS As I said in my reply, I have reverted the capitalisation of the first letter of the word: "Consulate" in the description of other US Indian Consulates: Mumbai Consulate, Chennai Consulate, Hyderabad Consulate. Now, all US Indian consulates have the same description as per your capitalisation grammar rules. Rourib Dutta (talk) 16:27, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Rourib.2004 Thank you for your help! — HTGS (talk) 08:33, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
