Composition of the Lower House[edit]

At a later date, there were 151 members: Deans (including the Provost of Eton), Archdeacons, Proctors of cathedral chapters, and Proctors elected by the clergy of each diocese of the province of Canterbury.[1] It appears that there were two proctors per diocese for the clergy, at least in England.
