Weird definition[edit]

Actually, the series of 3 movies with Pegg and Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, an as yet unnamed movie, temporarily called "The End of the World") is called the "Blood and ice cream trilogy" partially in reference to the cornetto references in them.Bollinger (talk) 19:18, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

the recent episode of sky TV's series "moone boy" called "ghost raft" mentions cornetto throughout the show and shows them all eating cornettos. as an American, I only remembered cornettos from my trips to Ireland as a kid and didn't know they were still around. "moone boy" is great with the "readybix" instead of wheatabix and other product references I remember from my visits as a kid. the thing is, I visited Ireland in the 1970's, and I am sure my last visit was in 1982 until I went briefly in 2007. this article says "The adverts ran for ten years during the 1980s and 1990s". my brother and my uncle reworded the cornetto song from the commercial with the guy singing in the gondola. my brother was not with me in 1982, so they would have sung it BEFORE that, so the commercials would have started in the late 70's or in 1980 at the latest, and the show moone boy is set in the 1990's and this article also says the commercial played in the 1990's, so the commercials must have run for much longer than 10 years, maybe more than 15. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.204.251 (talk) 08:04, 12 May 2014 (UTC) link to "moone boy" episode "ghost raft" http://www.hulu.com/watch/530285 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.204.251 (talk) 08:09, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
