Controversy

[edit]

Last week, concerned by his association with Bell, the Downey City Council voted to terminate the city’s contract with Lee and Best, Best & Krieger. In Covina, officials had said they were considering similar action, but Lee resigned his post there Tuesday. [1] DocOfSoc (talk) 07:59, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article title

[edit]

This article's title should be Covina, California, including the US state. Per the guidelines listed on Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names)#United States, articles on settlements in the US are typically titled [[Placename, State]] (the "comma convention"). Only those cities listed in the AP Stylebook does not requiring the state modifier – Covina is not one of them. These naming conventions for US cities have historically been debated, and thus this is the current compromise. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (talk) 18:05, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
