Proposed updates to side box and history[edit]

I am from Powerscourt and we are the media advisers for DCC. There are some details on the page which are now out of date. The side box financials need to be updated with 2016 numbers and there have been more recent acquisitions which should be added to History. Please could these be updated? Proposed changes can be found below.

Update 2016 numbers and key people for the side box: "Key people: John Maloney (Chairman), Tommy Breen (CEO), Fergal O'Dwyer (CFO) Revenue: £10.6bn (2016) Operating profit: £300.5m (2016) Net Income: £181.m (2016) Number of employees: 10,500 (2016)"'' [1]

Update history with more recent activity in 2015 & 2016:

''In February 2015, DCC completed the disposal of substantially all its Food & Beverage subsidiaries [2]. During the same year the company acquired Butagaz S.A.S., a French LPG business, from Shell for €464m [3]. The acquisition made DCC Europe’s third-largest LPG distributor [4].

In March 2016, the company agreed to acquire Alimentation Couche Tard’s commercial and aviation fuels business in Denmark for €40 million [5]. The deal included a 139-site retail petrol station network and supply contracts with 66 dealers [6].''

Untitled[edit]

"DCC’s stated desire to consolidate the fragmented UK oil distribution market is undermined by a heavy handed management approach coupled with an innate inability to grasp the fundamentals of successfully developing regional UK markets. An aggressive approach to staff following takeovers continues to lead to the loss of the key assets that made the takeover target attractive in the first place, destroying rather than adding value. Without a wholesale change away from the incumbent testosterone fuelled management the energy division is doomed to mediocrity and faces the very real prospect of being out thought and out marketed by abler, more agile regionally managed businesses. Clearly the lessons from history, for example the failure of a similar strategy in the equally fragmented steel stock holding business have yet to filter through into management thinking."

I have removed the above. It seems to be some form of venting by an ex-employee, and is clearly not NPOV. 193.1.172.166 (talk) 16:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
