Optimization of the coverage included in the existing articles DR (broadcaster) and DR Radio
[edit]I've today carried out a little "maintenance work" on the DR Radio article -- with a particular view to getting it back up to date. Among European public-service broadcasters, DR Radio appears to have gone through an exceptionally turbulent time, organizationally speaking, in recent times -- which has contributed in no small measure to the somewhat ramshackle state (in my view) of the current article!
I believe that a radical overhaul would be of benefit, and suggest that the best model for this would be an emulation of the Wikipedia treatment of Norway's NRK, namely:
- a general article about the organization as a whole;
- separate articles about each of its (radio and television) channels;
- elimination of a specific "DR Radio" article (generalities would be dealt with at 1. above)
As it is, there is much duplication, particularly in regard to radio matters, between the existing articles DR (broadcaster) and DR Radio: a situation which could usefully be avoided.
I'm willing to give such an overhaul a go. Any comments before I do so would be much appreciated. -- Picapica (talk) 19:35, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
