Philosophical evolution of the Malan Family since passing of D.F. Malan

[edit]

While working as a civil surgeon, I had an occasion, in early 2000s, to examine a winsome young lady who was immigrating to the US from South Africa. When I saw the naMe on her medical form and saw where she was from, I looked at her and asked her "Any relation to the late Prime Minister?" She could not have had any trouble figuring out my ethnicity (East Indian). She cringed for a moment and then smiled, saying "Mr. Malan was my paternal grandfather. I know what you are thinking. I want to inform you, however, that in the recent decades, Malan family has changed and moved completely away from the apartheid philosophy. In fact many Malans fought against apartheid and helped end it." I had no reason to doubt her. Inayat I. Lalani MD 6801 Bellaire Ct. Place of Death

[edit]

It's stated that he died in the Cape Colony in 1959 but in 1910 the union of South Africa was created. Was the name of this area not the Cape Province or should this not be put as Cape Colony, South Africa? Werner ghost (talk) 22:15, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some really good photos have recently been added to the article. They are all stacked on the right. Would it not make sense to move them to a gallery? BoonDock (talk) 13:43, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me? That seems to be a non sequitur? BoonDock (talk) 12:41, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
