[edit]I'd like to add some information to Danny Gatton's page. I attended a tribute show to Mr. Gatton here in Washington, DC last weekend. In the program that was handed out at the show, I learned some things I hadn't heard before. Just as an example, the program mentioned that as a youngster Danny played in a band called the Offbeats with a young Jack Casady.
Mr. Casady's wiki entry mentions he spent time in DC and played in a band called The Triumphs, but makes no mention of The Offbeats. I haven't been able to find any verifiable references to the fact that Mr. Gatton and Mr. Casady played together anywhere online. So before I post information I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
How should I handle this---I think I need help in finding a more reliable/verifiable source for this information.

left hand technique
[edit]"He possessed a classical guitar left hand technique, thumb behind the neck, fretting with arched fingers." many videos show otherwise as: check Youtube as the link i try to insert are "blacklisted" , altough he don't seem to fret the E with the thumb. But i don't think, one may say simply he has a "classical" technique. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.137.195.164 (talk) 14:32, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Inspired “Nashville Cats”
[edit]Trivia on Danny Gatton: John Sebastian says he was playing a gig in Nashville. He was staying at a Holiday Inn. While sitting in the bar here comes a kid who plugs in and starts playing. Sebastian is floored and wonders why the “The Lovin’ Spoonful” is playing the big place while this kid is playing the Holiday Inn. The kid? A teenage Danny Gatton.
