[edit]He's not at Liverpool yet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.83.235.56 (talk) 19:38, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
impressive?
[edit]After an impressive season at PSG, N'Gog signed for Liverpool on July 24, 2008 on a four year contract[1] for a reported fee of £1.5m.
Almost everything I've read has his PSG season being somewhat of a letdown. Though he has still shown signs of class- especially with the junior national squads.Zerotta (talk) 15:03, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
- Since Wikipedia articles must maintain WP:NPOV, be careful using words like "impressive", etc as those are not neutral. BMW(drive) 16:43, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Pronunciation of name?
[edit]Does anyone have any definitive infomation on this? I've heard commentators using 'Ungog' and 'Ungo', often in the same broadcast. (Mark Lawrenson even suggested he must be called 'Wash 'n go' in the dressing room...) Tagilbert (talk) 22:32, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Definitely 'Ungog', which is the original Cameroonian form of his name. Ungo would be a Francophone reimagination of it. David himself has stated that he prefers Ungog.--MartinUK (talk) 14:47, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Do you think it would be relevant to add this to the article about him? After all, when he first joined Liverpool it was definitely pronounced Ungo until he chose the Cameroonian "gog" pronunciation. Many other wiki articles for overseas players do have pronunciation keys at the start —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.154.94.125 (talk) 23:08, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
