Is there any reason that there's a whole host of External Links that don't seem to have anything to do with Ostroff, or at best are nothing but terribly critical of her? I certainly don't see a need for all of those or how they're relevant to the article. --CWSensationt 07:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She may be leaving The CW

[edit]

"After almost a decade in Hollywood as the head of UPN and the CW, CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff may be going back to New York. I hear Ostroff would be leaving the CW at the end of her contract in June to relocate to New York with her kids. While the decision is not final, sources indicate that Ostroff is leaning heavily in that direction and is expected to make it official."

The site where I read this doesn't allow links and I'm at home, so I make it a practice never to do web searches there. I'm sure all the other sites are fine, but there's always that one if I don't follow my policy strictly.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 22:03, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Connected edit request

Proposing new article revision

[edit]

Hi - I represent Dawn Ostroff so I'm making a connected edit request. I'd like to restructure her article into different sections, to match other biographies of living people, and would also like to propose some additions to update the information. I also noticed that some of the links are dead, so I tried to find better replacements. My coding isn't good enough to break this into different piecemeal requests, so I'm putting the entire proposed revision into collapsed text below. Thanks in advance for your help. 98.14.76.14 (talk) 13:48, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I think you will have a better shot at success if, instead of posting your new draft in its entirety, you specify what you want to change — and why. I doubt other editors will take the time to ascertain this info on their own. WalksInWelcome (talk) 21:15, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@98.14.76.14: I'll take a look, but am going to have to enter your text and preview changes to see what you're requesting. It would have been easier for the volunteers if you had requested this piecemeal. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 19:32, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done @98.14.76.14: I just went through and reviewed your edit requests, and made most of the changes. There was a lot to review, and I tried to highlight everything I did in a detailed edit summary. I noticed the early Fox and Michael Jacobs info wasn't properly sourced, so I found a better source. The Place Called Home charity link was dead, so I found a better link for that as well. I standardized the ref date formats, and removed the quotes from the ref names. Quotes are no longer needed if the ref name is a single string without any spaces. In the future, you'll definitely want to make minor requests to increase your chances of getting helped. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 01:07, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
