Character Profiles

[edit]

The relatively new "Characters" section is not accurate, littered with typos and grammatical errors, and I don't see the logic for including it here with the entry for the second book in the Tunnels series. Is there a case for properly drafted profiles to be posted on individual Wikipedia pages? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tantrumi (talkcontribs) 01:57, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Tantrumi about this. On 3 May 2010 I removed a large character profile section, as this contained too many inaccuracies and placed a level 1 warning against the unregistered user 174.97.136.31. The new section added by Limiter24, is very similar to this, albeit with slightly fewer errors. I suggest the actions of Limiter24 be undone. (Lifesawhirl (talk) 07:04, 16 May 2010 (UTC))[reply]

So glad you are agreement on this, Lifesawhirl. I've looked again at what has been posted and I can only think that it needs to be rewritten from scratch. And the problem with putting the character profiles by any one book is that new characters appear as the story progresses - what do you think would be the best way to organise this (if they were to be done properly)?

Tantrumi, yes I too think that the Deeper profiles need to be rewritten from scratch, there is too much that needs changing for this to be edited. You may have seen that I added some of the profiles on the Tunnels (Novel) page - but there have been some recent additions to that too and the page is now too long. I always thought the best way forward for the character profiles would be to have these on a separate page. I am happy to create this and move the existing profiles from Tunnels. This page can then be used to add character details from each of the books. It is unfortunate that many of the new additions are not up to Wikipedia authoring standard and are littered with type errors and fundamental inaccuracies. I know these books well and I will continue to watch and author these pages, and add material when I can. (Lifesawhirl (talk) 08:49, 17 May 2010 (UTC))[reply]
