Reaction to the tour from Li Xiannian, the leftist conservative hardliner?
[edit]Is there any information on how Li Xiannian reacted to Deng Xiaoping's tour that resumed the economic reforms?
For context, Li Xiannian was insistent on opposing reforms, both political and economic, during Deng's leadership. And unlike pre-event reservations (Chen Yun), regret (Yang Shangkun), or at least distancing (Li Peng) from the Tiananmen Square massacre by various actors, there is no information of nuance in Li Xiannian's article past the event. The article basically just ends "and then he remained in position until he died." Shame on him. 172.56.234.254 (talk) 18:21, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
