Possible copyvio[edit]

Although it's just a short passage, the first paragraph under Early Years looks to have come from this bio, specifically the start of the second paragraph under Words and Actions. Autarch (talk) 18:49, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Derek Humphry posted that passage to wikipedia. Do you prefer he rewrite it (LOL). Or should it be specially cited? SilverLiner (talk) 00:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK - WP:COPYVIO says f the contributor is the copyright holder of the text, then even if it is published elsewhere under different terms, they have the right to post it here under CC-BY-SA and GFDL – the text may still be unsuitable for Wikipedia for another reason, but it is not a copyright violation. They may donate the material through the procedures described at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and In both these cases, it is a good idea to make a note of the situation on the discussion page. I was probably over-cautious. Autarch (talk) 18:43, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tone Issue?[edit]

At the top of the article a flag existed suggesting there may be an issue with the "tone" of the article. However I observe no follow-up on ths Talk page. Without any specifics provided, I have removed that flag. But if there are specifics please do post here. SilverLiner (talk) 00:31, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think something should be included about his wife Ann Humphry and the book DEADLY COMPASSION by Rita Marker. Marker claims that Ann Humphry was deserted, abandoned, and harassed by Derek Humphry in a suicide note she left. I'm not trying to stir up a controversy but the very existence of the book DEADLY COMPASSION at least should be mentioned.

There are two sides to every divorce. Marker's book gives only one side of this unhappy story.
