how come most people in the town of diplahan burry their dead family members in their backyard? is it because the cemetery is so far and inaccessible that made them decide to burry it beside their house? in the poblacion proper, some were burried beside a house in a densely populated residential area. this should not be done due to many factors, 1st health- 2nd zoning. but in the end one will realize who could be faulted by it? my guess, its because of the people working in the municipal hall. they should not issue permit to burry to family members who wanted to use their backyard as cemetery. the municipal health office should also check houses that has a burried family member in their backyard and make sure that it wont affect the health of the residents living nearby. this should be stop (making little graveyard on every family backyard or diplahan might be called a town sleeping with the dead.

New Update on the above discussion: Under the administration of then Mayor Eric Y. Palma, a new cemetery site was developed to discourage the people to continue the above practice. It is now being utilized. (Reuneson G. Acocoro Gifu-ken, Japan)

New public cemetery was developed TO DISCOURAGE THE PEOPLE TO CONTINUE THE ABOVE PRACTICES, but as the time goes by and because of the dumping site of the garbage and improper waste management near the cemetery that causes smelly surroundings IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE THAT THE ABOVE PRACTICES WILL CONTINUE. Diplahan was once a very safe and problem-free place to live..but lately there are lots of cases that remains unsolved and drug addiction is very rampant..what will the future or our kids if this will continue..im afraid that diplahan might not only be called a town sleeping with the dead but the town of killers and addicts.( unknown LGU )

Addiction should be solve or rather should be avoided should the parents attended and guided thier children well. The invironment may in one way or another influence them but if the foundation and the values imparted by the parents were absolute then that should not be a case to worry. Regarding the killings, i guess its the job of the Local Police, maybe they should start doing what we paid them to do, protect us tax paying residents of diplahan. Or maybe they just wanna keep their chairs warm and their calories up.

About addiction and killings, its not only guess but IT SHOULD BE THE JOB of the Local Policemen but it sad to know that some policemen are rendering teir duty at home instead at the station.

there should be mandatory drugtest to all policemen & local officials, who knows some of them are taking drugs or protector.

btw the current mayor wants to transfer the municipal hall in iad i dont know if i spell it right, what do you think about it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 221.185.14.211 (talk) 16:01, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

WATER SYSTEM

[edit]

Water system is the primary problem of the residents in Diplahan, I think our Mayor should also make a decision on how to solve this problem because supply of water is not enough for the consumers. If we have a good supply of water it also increases investors who wants to invest in our town. *concerned diplahan*—Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.96.213.223 (talk) 06:10, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are absolutely correct, instead of errecting a public swimming pool, the mayor should have prioritized improving the water system of diplahan. It is ironic that people has to endure a week without running water on our old and very unreliable water system just to fill up the swimming pool. While it is trully an honor for a 4rt class municipality to have a public swimming pool of its own, what's important is, the well being of the residents. Access to a clean and reliable water system is more important than swimming in a pool that can be a source of various deseases since we can barely afford to change the water more often. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.27.253.78 (talk) 09:46, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In all fairness to the mayor, in his merely 2 years in office, he has done a lot of things to our town. Most people from nearby town considered diplahan as the most dynamic and progressive town in the province. More and more people visit diplahan specially on fridays for our weekly market day. Structures have been built for commercial purposes. While it is loudable enough, the people behind the develpment plan should focus more on the basic needs of the people such as water. If we already have the basic services, then maybe some "pogi points" projects can be tolerated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.27.253.78 (talk) 10:13, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FIRE TRUCK

[edit]

Based from the past fire accident happened at Diplahan, we always need to call for help to our nearby Municipality who has a fire truck which is 10-20 kilometer away from us, and because of this experience Diplahan needs Fire tuck to respond immediately in order to prevent from all destructive fires on buildings, houses, and other structures. *concerned diplahan* —Preceding unsigned comment added by 221.189.224.27 (talk) 03:04, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
