I think this article is not about the true importance of Coornhert and a little too much about trivial matters of family and well to do people. Coornhert fought for freedom of religion and decent prison treatment. His ideas about prisoner labor were revolutionary and changed the prison system in the Dutch republic and the world. He was was one of the great free thinkers of that period. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.160.139.195 (talk) 12:54, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We shouldn't list the EB 11 ed. sources here as though anyone has checked up on them if we haven't. Kindly reinclude these as they're used to substantiate the EB overview or to add additional information to the article:
Moorrees, F.D.J. (1887), Dirck Volckertszoon Coornhert. (in Dutch)
Delvenne, N. (1829), Biog. des Pays-Bas. (in French)
Van der Aa, A.J. (1855), Biog. Woordenboek der Nederlanden. (in Dutch)
This was separately provided but doesn't seem to have been used for any inline citations:
Bonger, Henk (2004), Voogt, Gerrit (ed.), The Life and Work of Dirck Volkertszoon Coornhert, Amsterdam: Rodopi, a translation of the 1978 Dutch work published by G.A. van Oorschot.
