new draft

[edit]

Looking good to me at the moment. Deb (talk) 11:26, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

National Trust paid pilot declaration

[edit]

This draft was started as part of a paid pilot for the National Trust, for further details on the pilot, please see. This draft has also been discussed at WikiProject Wales, and also in terms of how to go through AfC on my talk page. Thank you very much Lajmmoore (talk) 06:54, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ornamental lake walk

[edit]

The National Trust owns and maintains the estate, which includes an accessible walk around the ornamental lake. (THIS SENTENCE NEEDS TO BE BETTER.)

I agree, it does need to be improved. What it really needs is an independent source, like a (local) newspaper report, about the opening of the accessible walk and details on how it was created. Otherwise I'd leave it out as it's just the NT making a selling point about something that's no big deal these days. Deb (talk) 12:39, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much @Deb for keeping an eye and adding your thoughts - I get that point of view. I think I was keen to include it, more for the accessibility angle, as people might not imagine that there would be an accessible option at the site. I'll do some re-phrasing and try to find further coverage. Lajmmoore (talk) 07:05, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Autumn 2022...?

[edit]

I note that the footnote at the mention of the hotel's closing for refurbishments says it closed in the autumn of 2022; as far as i can tell, even in Wales, it's still only summer 2022. Should it maybe read autumn 2021? Happy days ~ LindsayHello 20:48, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Great spot, thanks! Lajmmoore (talk) 07:08, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bee boles

[edit]

I hate to be picky, but twice the comparative "highest" is used with regard to bee boles ~ the highest number of bee boles in the United Kingdom and the highest concentration of bee boles in Wales ~ but it's not clear what exactly this usage means: Highest number/concentration per estate? acre? county? Lajmmoore, can you remember just what this meant? I'd be happy to change it, but i might well plump for the wrong meaning. Lovely article, btw, so please don't think i'm criticising ~ at least, not negatively. Happy days ~ LindsayHello 09:29, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

hello @LindsayH, thanks very much for spot! I've been away so am only getting back to this now. The Daily Post states that the estate has "the biggest bee bole wall" in Britain & Madryn describes it as "The largest collection on record in the UK". I think you could say its both highest number/concentration per estate (the Daily Post describes how most locations only have 4-5 boles in a wall). I've had a tinker, but please feel free to do some investigating/clarifying too! Lajmmoore (talk) 11:13, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Primefac proposing a split

Hello all, @Primefac started to propose a split to this content on my talk page, so I'm just moving the discussion here. Lajmmoore (talk) 07:37, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Complete misunderstanding, will explain at the user talk. Primefac (talk) 07:52, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
