Move discussion
Article should be at drag race Brasil. Local spelling is used, so just like Espan~a, so should it be Brasil Naraht (talk) 00:11, 15 July 2023 (UTC)

- Weak oppose: We have to follow the common name (WP:COMMONNAME) in independent, reliable sources, even if it is not the official name (WP:OFFICIALNAME). English-language (WP:UE) news sources seem to be using "Drag Race Brazil"

- I could be wrong though. The first ten Google News results I had for the search

were [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]. - Of those, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9 used "Drag Race Brazil"; 4, 5, 8 used "Drag Race Brasil"; 10 used neither (Brazil). SilverLocust 💬 06:27, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

- Move I'm not sure that WP:USEENGLISH applies for choices within a Propername. And while it is WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, I think least surprise would be for the name actually used by the show given that any graphic for the show would be "Drag Race Brasil". I think the most similar situation to Drag Race Brasil is Big Brother Brasil for which the main article and all 23 of its seasons (see Category:Big Brother Brasil seasons are with the local spelling.)Naraht (talk) 18:19, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Agree: Move, given that sources refer roughly equally to Brasil/Brazil, going with the actual name shown in the show seems like the best choice. Griffindaly (talk) 05:09, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

Drag Race Brazil → Drag Race Brasil – Let's try this again! The show is now airing and sources like Out magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Digital Spy, and Pride.com, etc, are using the official name of the series. Therefore, I propose moving. --Another Believer (Talk) 15:15, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

- Support. More of the articles (though not all) since the last requested move have been using "Drag Race Brasil". And Griffindaly's comment about mixed usage in English sources was already quite reasonable. So just go with the official name. SilverLocust 💬 16:47, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

- Support: many sources now use the show's official designation "Brasil." Therefore, for the same reason that the German version is called "Drag Race Germany" and not "Deutschland" as many articles originally mentioned in the absence of an official name, I do not see why we should have the same problem with the Brazilian version of the show. Also, unlike the Belgian and Swedish versions, "Drag Race Brasil" does not officially have an international version of its title on WOW+, the platform where the show is broadcast outside Brazil.
