{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for

Old Dryden Store and Post Office was located at 42.269666, -123.534335. —Childoftherion (talk) 09:48, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to have made the change yourself, so there's nothing more to do here. Deor (talk) 19:56, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, I set up the article using these coords per GNIS:
"Dryden". Geographic Names Information System. United States Geological Survey, United States Department of the Interior. November 28, 1980.
The location of the store building does not necessarily indicate the location of the community. Do you have a citation for those coords or did you calculate it from the Oregon SHPO document? I'm not sure makes much difference as per Google Maps the new coords appear to place the store only 1/10 of mile away. Also, per GNIS, the P.O. has the same coords as they have for the community:
"Dryden Post Office". Geographic Names Information System. United States Geological Survey, United States Department of the Interior. November 28, 1980.
And, in fact, after a bit of checking, I'm going to revert to the original coords as using the address listed in the 1984 Oregon SHPO doc (5110 Lakeshore Drive) for the former P.O. shows a difference of about 3 feet, or about the distance up the main road. On the other hand, per the SHPO document, "The former Dryden Post Office and Store is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Dryden Road and Lakeshore Drive." (emphasis mine) That would seem to indicate this structure. Since is unclear exactly where this building is and if it still standing, until other reliable independent sources can be found, going with the coords for Dryden per GNIS seems to be the best bet. This is where the government seems to think the community is/was located. Valfontis (talk) 23:29, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
