Page Update
[edit]In light of Earl Powell’s retirement, this page could use a lot of updating to cover the entirety of his career as well as the end of his tenure as NGA director. I am posting this due to a COI and hope that someone takes up the task. Some of the issues missing from this page are:
- the maintenance and expansion work on the both the West and East Buildings
- shows with the highest attendance during his tenure
- his role with the Corcoran collection chiefly coming to the NGA
- date of his retirement and that he is followed by Kaywin Feldman as director

- Likewise, asking if someone could please
- Update the Commission of the Fine Arts information. Powell would have completed his service as chair in 2021. References to CFA's own online pages would be easy.
- So too, the use of "NGA" may sound unofficial and slangy
- There's an instance of parentheses where a bracket would indicate a quotation by J. Carter Brown altered for clarity, per Wikipedia:Brackets.
- And one could mention Powell's membership on the Board of Trustees of the Redwood Library and Athenaeum in Newport, Rhode Island.
Thanks! Johannes der Taucher (talk) 23:17, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
