[edit]I am the son of Eddie bennell some information is incorrect for instance my father had a brother named thomas the story goes like this when Thomas was born and my father was born the times my grandfather lived in was extremely hard for natives and births and deaths did not count first people's of this land Thomas was born first the native welfare act allowed for nyoongar families to register their children so they can slowly leave tribal ways behind my grandfather embraced this and registered Thomas, then he was found deceased I believe at a young age but nyoongars came under flora and fauna back then even if you was a registered birth it did not mean any nyoongar understood death certificates, which was the case for my grandparents and almost certainly for all ill-informed people of the time.My father was born around the death of Thomas nyoongars being supersticious people meant my grandfather did not register my father Eddie bennell.
