The third Oil Kings[edit]

Given it is all but certain that the new WHL team will also be called the Oil Kings, I feel that the new team should be treated as completely distinct from these two franchises, and should have a separate article. My intention when the official announcement is made is to move this article to Edmonton Oil Kings (WCHL) then have an admin move Edmonton WHL to this page. Would there be any objections to this? Bob Green[edit]

Someone mind telling me when Bob Green was announced as GM. I'm gonna remove it till there is a source cause it would have been all over the papers here in Edmonton. Killswitch Engage 04:04, 20 April 2007 (UTC

Ownership group[edit]

The Edmonton Investors Group no longer owns the Edmonton Oilers, as Daryl Katz was announced as new owner of the team on July 2nd, 2008. I'll remove the note that the EIG also owns the Edmonton Oilers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Underthechestnuttree (talkcontribs) 05:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
