What do you know?
[edit]It was a bit of an effort to research the life of this reasonably obscure New Zealand politician. And what do you know? There's been a concise and well cited article about him on the German WP since November 2008. It could have been so easy... Schwede66 01:13, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Return to England
[edit]He was from Wales not England, so where did he return to? Have put him down as a Cancer death in the UK Hugo999 (talk) 11:52, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Fair question. The reason he returned to "the old country", as several sources say, was him seeking specialist medical treatment, which points to London. The first source says that he left for London (but that may just mean that his ship went to Gravesend, then the most common port). The German WP article states that he died in London, without a source given for that detail. And lastly, it was the London Morning Herald that reported the pending re-marriage of the widow. So everything is pointing to London and I've added that to the article accordingly.
- By the way, I've removed the 'deaths from cancer' category again, as the other category that you added is one of its subcategories.Schwede66 16:03, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
