Views on Ecumenical relations - might there be a confusion of Archbishops?

[edit]

There seems to be a suspicious similarity between the view of David Prosser, as shown in the latter's wiki article:

Prosser believed strongly that the Anglican Church in Wales was the true Catholic Church in Wales and that both the Roman Catholic and Nonconformist Churches were no more than "Intruders", as evidenced by his statement in 1946 (which he repeated in May 1949):

"The Roman clergy and Noncomformist ministers are intruders… There may be historical excuse for their being here, but we cannot recognise their right to be here…"[1]

and that attributed to the subject of this article, to which no citation is given:

A staunch defender of the Church in Wales, Morris attracted controversy when he said that "The Church in Wales is the Catholic Church in this land" and referred to Roman Catholic and Nonconformist clergy as being "strictly speaking, intruders" whose rights to function in Wales could not be acknowledged.

A check between the two is in order. I have raised a citation need on the attribution to Morris. Cloptonson (talk) 14:59, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
