Who told you about Eastern Europe?

[edit]

It is mentioned in strip of 02-April-2009 that '...Tiny East European country of Elbonia ...' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.123.22.168 (talk) 17:33, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to Official website, Elbonia is just a Fourth-World country, nothing about Eastern Europe's mentioned there. Thus, I'm removing that bit. Jancikotuc 08:56, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In, I think, a strip in 1990, Dilbert says that the "tiny east country of Elbonia has abandoned Communism." So I'm putting it back.–Sidious1701(talkemail) 02:31, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The strip that first mentions Eastern Europe can be found in the compilation "Seven Years Of Highly Defective People", yet Mr Adams' notes in said book on the subject of Elbonia say that he has no specific country in mind. http://www.dilbert.com/strips/comic/1990-04-02 for the comic.

Two things.

[edit]
  1. I think the pic about Volga region should be removed, the rationale as above.
  2. According to last Sunday's (21 Jan 2007) strip, Dilbert's employer routinely uses Elbonian Airlines (which The Pointy-Haired Boss referred as a discount airline) for air travel; Alice accused the airline of "list[ing] their destination airports as 'whatever looks soft'," "the meals in the first class are made of anyone who dies in coach," "their entire security screening process involves shouting at each passenger 'Are you Osama bin Laden?!!!'," and accusations of baggage theft.
I wonder if Elbonians decided they should have jets, and how did their network sprawn to the entirety of the US. --Samuel CurtisShinichian-Hirokian-- TALK·CONTRIBS 04:22, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Elbonian icon.gif

[edit]

Image:Elbonian icon.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Similar Elbonias

[edit]

What places in your view are similar to the fictional Elbonia, and why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ledshift (talkcontribs) 01:56, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
