Add another image

[edit]

Perhaps a different image should be added. The current image is a stylistic illustration from the 19th century and may not be very much like her. I don't know how to do this. Here is a more realistic (not stylistic) image of her: [[1]]--85.226.235.153 (talk) 20:33, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded and added. I've given a longer reply at Talk:Antoine Bournonville. Hemmingsen 18:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for doing that! That image is from a painting made of her when she was active as a singer at the Opera, I believe, so it would have ben painted betwen 1773 and 1784. --85.226.235.153 (talk) 12:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I updated the image description to include that bit of information. Hemmingsen 16:07, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the first image is taken from a book from the 19th century, but may be older- though it is still not in a realisic style.--85.226.40.146 (talk) 19:40, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thetis och Phélée

[edit]

The opera Thetis och Phélée was in fact the same opera as Thetis et Phélée by Fontanelle and Colasse; it was translated by Johan Wellander and the music was made by Francesco Uttini. Not much was changed except that the part of Neptune was made bigger, but the plot and lines and the play itself was the same as the original. This accordning to Swedish wiki, which is also referenced. I read it myself at most books having to do with the foundation of the Swedish opera, such as, I believe, "Swedish theatre and Swedish actors, from the days of Gustav III to now, first book 1772-1842", by Georg Nordensvan. Just a remarc! --85.226.235.208 (talk) 19:13, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
