Query
[edit]Reading a bit of what's available on the web, I'm confused about Bolaños and APRE. This article, as well as the PLC article, could use some clarification. I know that he definetly ran for President as the PLC candidate in 2001. When did he move to APRE? Did he initiate the formation APRE, or did it exist already?
One article, http://www.envio.org.ni/articulo/2095, makes it seem like he might have only left the PLC for a month. The PLC website makes no mention of Bolaños, but Bolaños' website makes no mention of APRE and there does not seem to be an APRE website. Did he leave the PLC completely and permenantly? --Brian Z 01:50, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- APRE was a little party formed by some liberals who did not agree with the path the PLC was taking. Bolanos joined after he took office and it was because he started to play against the PLC president and former Nicaraguan President Arnoldo Aleman, who stole great quantity's of money from the country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.212.19.76 (talk) 08:13, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Father's death
[edit]they mention on his biography that his father was poisoned by an employee. hello!!!!!!!!!!!they acuse an incoent person of his father assesination. they know very well that she was inocent, but money can buy justice in nicaragua. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Juliana2002 (talk • contribs) 23:09, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Net worth
[edit]Someone keeps adding the speculative information that Bolanos has $500 million in assets: where are you getting this information? I find this hard to believe since his businesses and assets were confiscated in the 80's. Furthermore, he currently works full-time at his virtual presidential library, which is struggling financially and runs entirely on grants and donations. This figure seems extremely unlikely, and whoever keeps adding it should provide some proof. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:9700:A800:54F:4497:1C75:2D8C (talk) 18:57, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

Video clip
[edit]This is a video of Bolaños in 2017 discussing his book and it’s CC-licensed; if video2commons ever starts working again, it would make a nice addition to the entry. (Leaving here as a note as much to myself as anyone else!) Innisfree987 (talk) 16:15, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
