Ernst Voß Article
[edit]The following conversation is from DocYako Talkpage and his reply to on my talkpage Adamdaley:
Article: Ernst Voß
I have come across either a typing error or an unreferenced/sourced item in Ernst Voß article you created. In his infobox it states that he was later a Police Officer, when I look at when he was killed in 1943, his service would have ended at 1943 not 1945. But that's not the major point here, was he a Police Officer during World War I and World War II? When was he a Police Officer? Are you able to expand on this area? I have asked in #wikipedia-en-help and they suggested to write to you. I've also brought this up (left a message about this) with one of the WikiProject Military History coordinators Ian Rose. I realise its only a minor thing, was hoping you could give some feedback on it while it would be appreciated. Adamdaley (talk) 02:42, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Dear Adamdaley,
Thank you for pointing out that his term of service would have ended in 1943. Also he was a police officer between World War I and II. From what I have seen on Lexikon der Wehrmacht and Ritterkreuztraeger 1939-1945, he entered the police force sometime after the end of World War I and became an officer in the Wehrmacht in 1935 after the merger of the police force and the army. Notability
[edit]Does not meet WP:SOLDIER as the highest command achieved was a regiment and was promoted to a general's rank posthumously. Sig RS coverage not found link; many appear to be false positives.
A de.Wiki article on Ernst Voß exists but it's about a different person.
