The Music Video

[edit]

Question on a possible addition to the information on the main page:

[edit]

I know exactly where the music video for "Everybody Hurts" was shot, because it was shot in my hometown, on a stretch of highway I would have been on had the video been shot in mid-January, say, instead of the first week of January. My late father and I used to drive down that stretch of highway on our way over from our home to his workplace and my high school, respectively, and the video shoot and single release both took place when I was a freshman in high school, so the surroundings are very familiar to me. Cobain

[edit]

i would like it changed that kurt cobain may have been listening to this song before killing himself? where is the proof? and where is the proof that he killed himself? i will remove it myself if it is not removed

I removed the Cobain "Suicide Song" note as it has no citation and as such has no place, whether speculative or not. --Fantailfan 16:55, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Remehuk1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Remehuk1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

New Zealand Singles Chart

[edit]

Not sure why this page has been locked, but the single has debuted on the NZ Chart (www.rianz.org.nz/chart.asp) at number 17 this week. Not expecting it to rise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.237.145.119 (talk) 12:25, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Gospel" and "soft rock"

[edit]

Are there any sources for these genres? 204.169.28.106 (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As of January 2020 "gospel" has been added as one of the genres, the source being a spin review in which the song is lauded as "white anxiety-gospel". Due to the negative and sarcastic nature of the review, the reviewer does not literally mean gospel. The song lacks nearly all of the characteristics of gospel music. The gospel tag is being removed for accuracy. Fabian Caldwell (talk) 16:32, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lacking chorus and bridge

[edit]

Maybe guitarist Peter Buck commented that, but anybody can see (or hear) the structure of the song:

  • Intro D G 2x
  • Verse D G with vocals
  • Chorus Em A 3x with vocals
  • Verse D G ...
  • Chorus Em A
  • Bridge F# Bm
  • B-part C G Am
  • Verse D G ...
  • Chorus Em A
  • Outro D G with vocals, the instrumental voicings get enriched --Areta87 (talk) 22:15, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
