F.C. Rustavi Metalurgist → FC Metalurgi Rustavi – this seems to be the correct transliteration of the Georgian name, and it is the spelling UEFA uses [1] 109.155.163.191 (talk) 09:15, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Current FC Rustavi is NOT an old Olimpi/Metalurgi Rustavi
[edit]The Soccerway is wrong in that case (and many others as well). The official Georgian Football Yearbook published by the GFF shows clearly, that current FC Rustavi has been founded in 2015 as a new club, after Metalurgi went bankrupt, and has been immediately granted start from level 2. The old Metalurgi tried to survive, playing in the third level, but withdrew just after first half of the season. Unfortunately, these sources are available only in paper, only in Georgian and the printing is only 300 units. If anyone wants to check, I can upload somewhere the scans/photos of the needed pages and proof that. Avtandil (talk) 11:58, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
