External links modified

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Faidherbia albida. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Moved to genus

Following usual practice, the article on this monotypic genus is now at the genus-name title. The edit history of the article formerly at that title is now at Faidherbia (genus). --Stemonitis (talk) 07:36, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Link missing

This monotypic article should be linked to "Anabaum" in Wikipedia.de (German Wikipedia), but the software does not alloow me to do so. Can anybody help? --Himbear (talk) 21:47, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

@Himbear: this is a problem in Wikidata. Wikidata has two items: Faidherbia albida (Q483240) for the species and Faidherbia (Q5429644) for the genus. Wikipedias that have only one article for the monospecific genus can only link to one of these – this is, in my view, an error in the design of taxon items in Wikidata. The English Wikipedia has been linked to Faidherbia (Q5429644) – sensible because in the English article's title is the genus name. The German Wikipedia has been linked to Faidherbia albida (Q483240) – sensible because the German article's title is the German name of the species. However, this means that they don't link to each other. There appears to be no good way to fix this. Peter coxhead (talk) 23:01, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the answer, which I had already guessed. What I want is a correction of the misbehavior what you as well characterize an error in the behavior of Wikidata here.--Himbear (talk) 17:15, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
@Himbear: there's nothing we can do here. It's a problem for editors at Wikidata to fix, but I don't think there's any interest there. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:47, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
Thanks again for trying to answer. I got your message, this is the wrong forum.--Himbear (talk) 20:04, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Regional names

I disagree with Declangi's removal of this info. WP:PLANTS#Common names is ambiguous. There are many good reasons why local names of species may be useful. For one, it would have told me that the Gaurdian's use of "Gao Tree" as an English common name was an innovation of the journalist involved. Thus I am moving this info here. Declangi is right everything should be sourced correctly. This is likely all from the World Agroforestry website.Leo Breman (talk) 13:51, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
