Birthplace

[edit]

Sources state that he was born in Lagos, Oyo, or Abeokuta. Which is correct? Badagnani (talk) 01:09, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm finding conflicting info too. http://www.hierographics.org/felasowandephilosophyandopinions.htm and http://www.internationalopus.com/cgi-bin/io.pl?mode=composer&composer=28 both say Abeokuta. Aaron Horne's Brass Music of Black Composers: A Bibliography says Oyo. http://etd.lsu.edu/docs/available/etd-02212004-111053/unrestricted/Sadoh_dis.pdf and http://www.malge.co.uk/Fresh/perspectives/compbiog_sowande.html say Lagos. I'd suggest seeing if any family members have a presence on the web, and try to query them if so; if not, I guess we just say multiple sources have identified different places as the site of his birth.
