  • Article is new enough, QPQ done. Earwig has thrown no major issues on copyvio. Meets criteria for length and the cited hook is correctly referenced. I don't really find the hook all that interesting. Maybe we can come up with an ALT? Taung Tan (talk) 06:27, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Any particular areas of the article that interest you? The hook and alt were what made me interested in the topic in the first place. CMD (talk) 08:22, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is unfortunate that Queensland has two reefs called Flinders Reef, but I don't think the current disambiguation is appropriate as both of them are in the Coral Sea. Would Flinders Reef (South-East Queensland) and Finders Reef (North Queensland) be a better disambiguation. Your thoughts? Kerry (talk) 05:41, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This one falls within the Coral Sea Islands, so the Queensland disambiguator is a bit misleading. This could be extended to the full "Coral Sea Islands Territory" disambiguator, with the other using Queensland, although that may require specific knowledge about the border between the two. Another option is perhaps being more specific, labelling this one "Oceanic reef" and the other "Coastal reef" or even "Moreton Bay" (I wondered if "Great Barrier Reef" might be used for the other one, but some sources treat this reef as also part of the GBR.) Minor copyedit, changed a "form" to a "from". King keudo (talk) 19:26, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Photos

[edit]

@Chipmunkdavis: Hey, I found some photos from Flickr of Flinders Reef which are uploaded under a compatible license for Commons. You might want to transfer some of the photos and illustrate this page with some visuals. Nice writeup. Seloloving (talk) 21:03, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Different Flinders Reef by the looks, but very useful for that article. CMD (talk) 22:38, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Chipmunkdavis Ah I see.. unfortunate. I enjoyed the article immensely as the oceans and seas surrounding Australia have always been a fascinating place that I long to explore, since I watched Finding Nemo as a kid. Marine wildlife and mysteries aplenty. Seloloving (talk) 02:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
