Sammy the Sailor, is that the title of a painting or the assumed name used by the painter instead of his own name? The string of names afterwards, are they paintings or other aliases? — Prairieplant (talk) 04:11, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I looked up the name Sammy the Sailor and found the painting, done in 1836, so it is not his alias. I edited to clarify this and removed reference to alias as the alias is not given. The painting was sold by the Art Institute of Chicago in 2004. Prior the AIC the painting was kept in his family. — Prairieplant (talk) 04:27, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
