Reverted page to restore unnecessary edits[edit]

The photos of Frankhouse/Ruth and Frankhouse with the umpires are both public domain photos. The photos are not copyright protected. While I did not take the photos myself, I know the digital copies are not under copyright protection because the .jpg files were emailed to me by the owner of the photos. The photos are part of a collection of Frankhouse memorabilia which includes newspaper clippings, uniforms, photos, and other items owned by the Frankhouse/Beaver/Hertzler family collection.--JGHSMC (talk) 23:49, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Added Photographs Back That Had Been Deleted[edit]

All of the photos I have uploaded to WikiCommons and added to this article were taken by Fred Frankhouse's wife, Mabel. The original photographs are held in a private collection of Fred Frankhouse photographs residing in the Port Royal Historical Society. The collection of photos is on permanent loan to the Historical Society by the family and direct descendants of Mabel and Fred Frankhouse. I received permission from the Historical Society AND the living family members of Fred Frankhouse to use these and all other photos in the collection. All the photos I am adding to the Fred M. Frankhouse Wikipedia article are by consent and permission of the family. I emailed the legal release to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. I was emailed a template with the requred release on July 28, 2016. The instructions required that I complete the release, have it signed by the party(ies) providing the release within one week or the photos would be in danger of deletion. The owner of the photos submitted the release within 3 hours of the request, yet the photos were deleted anyway. I am taking the time to go through the process again with hopes my strict adherence to Wiki policies will not be disregarded again. Here is a copy of the release sent to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org:

" I hereby affirm that I, John Hertzler, am a descendant of Fred Meloy Frankhouse, and can affirm that the photographs of my great uncle are not under copyright protection, rather, are in the public domain. The featured photo at the top of the page at the following URL may be freely used on Wikipedia: http://portroyal200.com/view.php?id=54. Furthermore, ALL of the photos found in the bottom section “Photos & Additional Comments” may be freely used.

I agree to publish the above-mentioned content under the following free license: Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International.

I acknowledge that by doing so I grant anyone the right to use the work, even in a commercial product or otherwise, and to modify it according to their needs, provided that they abide by the terms of the license and any other applicable laws.

I am aware that this agreement is not limited to Wikipedia or related sites.
