How could he have been "well into his seventies" in 1896 when he was born in the 18th century? I think you confused the century numbers. E.g. 1800-tallet in Danish is the 19th century in English and Danish, i.e. the period from 1800–1899. De728631 (talk) 18:26, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

There is reference to who and how the myth was obtained. This is historically important information. Comparing it to the subsequent information obtained from the same person's research is an interesting demonstration of how myths grow from facts.
