Fair use rationale for Image:Witchwood.jpg

[edit]

Image:Witchwood.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Songs against racism and xenophobia?

[edit]

I am puzzled by the addition of this category. From the Witchwood is an album not a song. Also I don't think any of the songs are anti-racist or anti-xenophobic :- 1. Glimpse of Heaven - nostalgic look at an Englad gone by 2. Witchwood - drug warning 3. 30 days - anti-war 4. Flight - not sure 5. Hangman and the Papist - story about religious/political forces turning brother against brother - an allegory of the situtation in Northern Ireland at the time. 6. Sheep - non-conformist 7. Canon Dale - spiritual 8. Shepherd's song - Love song 9. In amongst the Roses - inspired by Cousins' daughter 10. I'll Carry On Beside You - a song of hope I would gladly accept criticism of this view - educate me! Best Witchwooder (talk) 08:24, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I mentally went through that same process and came to the same conclusion. I thought Hangman and The Papist might be the most likely possible candidate. But I've always thought that song was about two brothers in the English Civil War (with many obvious modern comparisons). So religious bigotry yes, but racism or xeniphoba no? I've removed it. Witchwooder (talk) 08:35, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
