I used to go to Gainsborough Primary School in the 1960s. At that time the school was located in an area that was due for demolition to make way for the Trowbridge Estate (mentioned in Hackney Wick).
The kids and the teachers packed the school up and we moved to the empty Berkshire Road school building. I think Berkshire Road was a secondary school that had closed some time before this.
