Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Galapagos Hawk which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RM bot 16:30, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Although the name "Galapagos Flycatcher" is an alternative name for the Large-billed Flycatcher (Myiarchus magnirostris), that name is now reserved for what was until ≈2013 the Galapagos subspecies of the Vermilion Flycatcher (Pyrocephalus rubinus nanus), and now elevated to full species (Pyrocephalus nanus). I propose the name of this page be changed to "Large-billed Flycatcher" with text explaining the old alternative name. I also propose to create a NEW page "Galapagos Flycatcher" for Pyrocephalus nanus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeadleB (talkcontribs) 02:22, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
