Joyce gives the full dob of 29/11/1914, which is consistent(ish) with the Free BMD Index available at ancestry.co.uk which gives an Arthur G Moreland's birth registered in Wolverhampton in the first quarter of 1915. Both Matthews and Swindon-Town-FC give a date of June 1912: there was a Moreland registered in that quarter of 1912 in Wolverhampton, but his name was Thomas B Moreland.
