[edit]This person has an entry in Romanian Wikipedia, he was member of the parliament and contributed to the Proclamation of Timișoara. This is making him notable.--MariusM 23:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Actually, there are 34200 google hits for "George Şerban". There are 2 Romanian politicians with the same name, one from Timişoara (about whom is this article) and one from Brăila.--MariusM 00:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Nice to see others contributing at this article, after it was nominated for speedy deletion. I have to mention that the entry in Romanian Wikipedia is for the other George Şerban, I believe this one deserve an entry also in Romanian Wikipedia (he is in fact the most famous from the 2 Şerbans).--MariusM 06:35, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, indeed. I don't know which one is the most famous, though (they seem to be roughly on par), though I must say I am surprised that the Chamber of Deputies only has the other one's resume. I also have no idea if I got the birthday right: I picked it up from some Romanian Radio anniversary page, but, come to think of it, it might not have referred to him (but, you guessed it, to a third George Şerban). - More details are available in Neumann (I have used the book for the Proclamation article), but I would have to check when i have more time. Dahn 06:42, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
