Telenovelas are extended screen plays, novels presented on television. They are not "soap operas," since telenovelas have a definite ending, in about one year. They are not a "Search for Tomorrow," or an "As the World Turns." Tomorrow is found in telenovelas and the world doesn't just go on revolving.
