Setting Sun
[edit]The bit in conflict say:
- though judging by the procession of shadows, the sun is north of the scene, - so it is actually set in the southern hemisphere, turning autumn into spring
Can anyone provide proof of this? I don't know how it could be determined which way the sun is setting with out a compass. JQF 15:37, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Remove Goofs Section?
[edit]I don't see how that section helps the casual reader just trying to find out what the article is about... Abby724 04:35, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Redundant?
[edit]Why is the last move in the chess game described as "redundant?" Check and checkmate are two different things.
(responding to the above question) It was already checkmate in the first position. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.220.232.70 (talk) 03:29, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Pixar-geri.jpg
[edit]Image:Pixar-geri.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Infobox Tag
[edit]Infobox tag has been removed as article already has one. If you have any problems with this please post a message on my talk page. RWardy 20:06, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Cameo Appearance
[edit]Geri (or at least a character who looks pretty much exactly like him) appears in the film "Toy Story 2" as The Cleaner, who restores valuable toys. As a further reference in this role, it appears that while The Cleaner is sorting through his box of restoration tools, he briefly pulls out a drawer filled with chess pieces, but only for a second. Illegal movement during the game?
[edit]On the different language version of the Wiki, it is said that the black Geri makes an illegal movement with bishop by moving it horizontally in two squares to attack the pawn. Can someone confirm it? - 85.222.89.208 (talk) 02:28, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Category query
[edit]Hi. I don't understand why this film keeps going in and out of the category A Bug's Life. Can you please explain? It's making me dizzy watching it ... <g> Please see for example:
Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 09:08, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
It is because the category was deleted before. I added it right now and expect it remains there. Geri's Game is the short that accompained A Bug's Life theatrically and in the DVD. --LoЯd ۞pεth 23:34, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Edit war
[edit]Please stop the edit warring and discuss it here. Otherwise my next stop is WP:3RRNB. Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 21:28, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- Gatitom1299 was asked three times to provide a working reference, but he keeps adding the same link to a non-existing article: "cite news|title=Disney Re-releasing The Princess and the Frog|url=http://www.movieweb.com/news/disney-re-releasing-the-princess-and-the-frog |accessdate=August 15, 2012|newspaper=MovieWeb|date=May 2, 2006"
- Beside that, the reference is obviously fake as it is dated on May 2, 2006 and claims in the title that Disney would re-release "The Princess and the Frog" on December 11, 2009 - on the day of its US premiere.--Carniolus (talk) 23:06, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Disney Re-releasing The Princess and the Frog
[edit]As Carniolus states above:
Gatitom1299 was asked three times to provide a working reference, but he keeps adding the same link to a non-existing article: "cite news|title=Disney Re-releasing The Princess and the Frog|url=http://www.movieweb.com/news/disney-re-releasing-the-princess-and-the-frog |accessdate=August 15, 2012|newspaper=MovieWeb|date=May 2, 2006"

I have no axe to grind here - it's just that as an occasional watcher of the page I've been irritated by the edit warring and its effect of messing up the page. I like to AGF and assume that people are trying to help rather then mess things up, but having said that I've been looking at Gatitom1299's contributions and they all seem to have this common theme, of an apparently made-up reference to a MovieWeb news story URL. They are all from 2 May 2006 but I have looked at the MovieWeb stories for that day and can't find them. So it looks more and more like either (a) Carniolus is simply right and it's just some kind of stupid vandalism or at best (b) if Gatitom1299 is really trying sincerely to accomplish something here they are not going about it the right way: is it a competence or English issue or something? Either way, I think Gatitom1299 needs to understand that this can't continue and will need administrator attention if they won't either stop or at least engage in discussion about what they are doing. I will message them on their Talk page in the hope of getting them to join in here. Best wishes to all DBaK (talk) 12:52, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- OK well I have tried. Watch this space ... :) DBaK (talk) 12:59, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
