Violation of Wikipedia:Autobiography
[edit]I would just like to point out that this article exists in stark violation of Wikipedia:Autobiography, as it was created and almost entirely edited by the person that is the subject of the article. That's not to say that anything on this page is inccorect, but it certainly makes it far more suspect, and a likely candidate for the articles for deletion process. -Harmil 17:45, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- Gianni, you've said your peace. Now please leave the article alone and let other editors take over. Wikipedia is not your personal journal or profile. Feel free to continue to edit your user page as you like, but autobiographical edits are highly discouraged. -Harmil 14:41, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Copyright violations!
[edit]Duplication of content from other Web sites is a violation of their copyright. Material that was introduced about astrology is a direct copy of another site [1] and should NOT be re-introduced. That aside, this material was certainly not encyclopedic. Gianni, please refrain from editing your own article from here on in unless it is to correct factual errors, and even then please be very conservative in your edits. Further autobiographical edits will be taken up in the form of an RFC. -Harmil 14:48, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, the copyvio was in two parts. The blood-fortune-telling part was also a copyvio from a different site. [2] -Harmil 15:08, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
External links
[edit]The Wikipedia policy on linking is fairly clear on the topic of external links. They really should be used only for citation. If Wikipedia lacks an article, creating a red-link encourages other authors to contribute that information. If you fee that it is vital for that information to be present, then feel free to contribute it, but do not use titled external link like this one in the body of the article. If you are adding an external link for citation, it should be untitled like this: [3] Please try to keep this in mind when editing this article. Thanks! -Harmil 15:37, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
This autobiography is a vanity insertion in violation of Wikipedia's principles. --Wetman (talk) 08:45, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
