A 2013 documentary centres around modern interpretations of Shakespeare, 'why are we afraid of Shakespeare'. It is produced by Dan Poole and Giles Terera and was shown in Autumn 2013 on BBC FOUR. The film was selected as part of London's 2013 Raindance Film Festival and also as the closing film at 2014 St Albans Film Festival.

The film features interviews with well-known actors and directors such as Judi Dench, Tom Hiddleston, Ian Mckellen, John Hurt, Mark Rylance, Ewan McGregor, Steven Berkoff, Fiona Shaw, Rory Kinnear, Finty Williams, Derek Jacobi, Alan Rickman, James Earl Jones, Dominic West, and Baz Luhrmann.

The film premiered on New Zealand and Australian Television in January 2014 and is soon to premiere in Canada.
