metalcore?

[edit]

god i hate this dumb genre,i guess any band can be it... I mean who made this page?... do you even listen to god forbid... where does emtacore come from...death metal my friend

They're not Death Metal, you need to go and look up about these genres as this is the 3rd page you've wrongly edited like this. XdiabolicalX 11:48, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Then I guess I must've been dreaming when I saw them open for Death Metal bands Incantation, Vader & Morbid Angel in late June 1998 at the Birch Hill in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Reject the Sickness is indeed a death metal album & so is Out of Misery.--Hndsmepete 19:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As a huge fan of this band, I also think that the death metal influence should be added in there somewhere. Hndsmepete is right about those early albums. The metalcore genre, however, is an acceptable label for this band. As much as I hate to say it, the metalcore influence is undeniable in their more recent albums. I have to mention that my hate for traditional metalcore and hardcore bands is limitless. God Forbid is different simply just doesn't suck at all. BTW they are also a self-proclaimed black metal band. --Dalenkwint 15:29, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this band is a Death metal band. they started as a metalcore band but switched in "determination" if they were a metalcore band they would sound like a bunch of no talent teenage losers playing offbeat and hitting either random or the same notes on the guitar. in other words they would sound like "crap" instead of sounding like they wanted to kill you with music (which is how they sound now) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.67.69.148 (talk) 22:38, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yet again, another genre war :( Feral Mind (talk) 22:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another POINTLESS genre war. Do you guys even know what death metal sounds like? God Forbid is, and always has been, metalcore. And who they've opened for in the past has absolutely NO bearing on their genre. Marilyn Manson opened for Slayer, that certainly doesn't make them thrash metal. 65.189.210.173 (talk) 10:43, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They're almost certainly Melodic Metalcore with strong influences taken from Melodic Death Metal. There, problem solved. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.243.96 (talk) 16:39, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are a mixture of Melodeath and Metalcore with heavy Thrash influences. KezianAvenger 18:02, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
