What’s an “anti treaty republican”

[edit]

Could someone put at least a link in that would explain that bit of her life?--2003:CD:EF2E:87C:65DB:1F6D:2C16:AA (talk) 19:11, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the simpllest link is Irish Civil War#The treaty and its consequences. There is a link to Irish Civil War at the top of the same biographical section in this article. The linked article details the two (Pro-Treaty and Anti-Treaty) sides of the conflict. Someone could probably clarify why Gifford was arrested/interned (perhaps by simply explaining which "side" Gifford aligned-with during the civil war. Which was the Anti-Treaty side. If that wasn't/isn't clear.) Guliolopez (talk) 10:16, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

His will

[edit]

Although if technically her husband died intestate, shouldn't she at the very least have been entitled to a large whack from his estate? PatGallacher (talk) 22:52, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
