Propose to restructure career section(s)
[edit]Currently, this page focuses almost entirely on Gregor's time as mayor of Vancouver - which, while undoubtedly a crucial part of his career, deprecates his prior experience as a BC MLA and ignores entirely his career path since he decided not to stand for another term as mayor in 2018. Perhaps, his term as mayor could be deprecated under a new heading "Career" and create new sub-sections: "Early career" "Term as BC MLA" and (maybe) "Post mayoral career" or similar. On the other hand, maybe his time as mayor should not be deprecated. If so, then should his time as MLA be subsumed under "Early Career"? In any case, I think that it is timely that a new section (or sub-section) be formed to record his post mayoral career - currently as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at Nexii Building Solutions:
Comments, feedback?
ps: Incidentally, I discovered that "Nexii" is currently a redirect to the disambiguation page Nexus.

Recent edits from new editors
[edit]Looking at the recent (and not-so-recent) history shows a definite pattern of new editors with similar concept names making edits that are gradually removing any negativity from this article. Some edits are good, but many are disguised within and are slowly whitewashing the article.

Can you all confirm/deny that you are either the same person as per WP:SOCK, or in any way involved with Robertson - or indeed with each other? Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:19, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Chaheel, I don't know those other users, but I am not involved with them. I am not involved with Robertson, I have followed his story and history for two decades now though, and noticing his wikipedia page is a mess, and I wonder if much of the content was created by his opponents.
- It is incumbent for us and editors to fix misleading sentences and update information accordingly. Politicsandtea (talk) 20:47, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- There is a difference between "fix[ing] misleading sentences" and simply removing any criticism of the person. Can you comment on the similarity between all the above usernames, editing styles and edit summaries? You may want to look up and read WP:DUCK to see where I'm heading with this. - The section on homelessness record has once again been scrubbed of criticism, and fact, including citations of increased homelessness in CoV count, etc. 2604:3D08:B184:F900:787A:3CF:8014:8A54 (talk) 22:51, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Wanting Qu
[edit]I could not find any evidence that Robertson and Wanting Qu were "partners". It seems all sources referred to Qu as his "girlfriend" throughout their relationship. Here are a few examples:
- "Wanting Qu is the girlfriend of Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson" CBC News - Jul 26, 2016
- "Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and his girlfriend, Chinese singer-songwriter Wanting Qu, have separated" CTV News - July 7, 2017
- "Pop singer Wanting Qu, girlfriend of Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson" Vancouver Sun - Jul 20, 2016
- "Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson with girlfriend Wanting Qu in Vancouver" The Globe and Mail - April 24, 2015
- "Vancouver’s Mayor Gregor Robertson has broken up with girlfriend Wanting Qu" South China Morning Post - 7 Jul, 2017
I also found this article in which Robertson confirms that Qu was not his "partner".
I have gone ahead and removed Wanting Qu from the infobox where she was incorrectly mentioned as domestic partner. Streazy (talk) 15:41, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
